1. Information We Collect
When you use Cadence, we collect information you provide directly — such as your name, email address, trip details, photos, and expense data. We also collect location data when you use GPS Walk Mode, and basic device and usage information to improve the app.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve Cadence — including trip sharing, observer mode, expense splitting, and photo organization. We never sell your personal data to third parties. Location data is only shared with observers you explicitly invite.
3. Observer Mode & Data Sharing
When you invite someone as an observer, they can see your trip itinerary, current location, photos, and activity feed. Observers never have access to your expense data. You can remove observers at any time, immediately revoking their access.
4. Photos & Media
Photos you upload are stored securely via Cloudinary. Original full-resolution files are preserved. Photos are only visible to trip members and invited observers. When you order photo products (photobooks, prints), your photos are shared with the selected print partner solely to fulfill your order.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies ensuring users can only access data from trips they belong to. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We follow industry best practices to protect your information.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services: Supabase (database), Cloudinary (image storage), Mapbox (maps), Resend (email), and Vercel (hosting). Each processes data only as needed to provide their service. Affiliate links (Viator, Chatbooks, etc.) are clearly labeled and governed by those partners' own privacy policies.
7. Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at hello@travelwithcadence.com. You can delete your account and all associated data from within the app.
