Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Cadence (“the Service”), including the iOS app and web app at travelwithcadence.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Cadence is a travel companion app that provides trip sharing, GPS navigation, photo sharing, expense splitting, observer mode, and post-trip memories. Cadence is not a booking platform — we do not sell flights, hotels, or travel packages.

3. Accounts & Access

Travelers access Cadence through the iOS app. Observers access trip pages via magic link — no account creation required. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your access credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. Subscriptions & Pricing

Cadence offers a free tier and a Pro subscription at $29/year. Subscriptions are billed annually through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's payment terms. You can cancel anytime through your App Store settings. Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all photos, text, and other content you upload to Cadence. By uploading content, you grant Cadence a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely to provide the Service. We do not use your content for advertising or sell it to third parties.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Cadence to share illegal, harmful, or offensive content; attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data; interfere with the Service's operation; or use the Service for any purpose other than personal travel coordination.

7. Third-Party Services & Affiliate Links

Cadence may display affiliate links to third-party services (restaurants, experiences, photo products). These links open in your browser and are governed by the respective third party's terms. Cadence may earn a commission from purchases made through these links. All transactions occur directly between you and the third party.

8. Limitation of Liability

Cadence is provided “as is.” We are not liable for GPS inaccuracies, data loss, or any damages arising from use of the Service. Expense calculations are for convenience — users should verify all amounts independently. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
